Meeting
Rare Characters at Mickey’s Very Merry
Christmas Party
Written by:
There are many special events that you will attend each year, but
nothing is like going to a special event in the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney
World. Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas
Party is one of the best “hard ticket” events at Walt Disney World every
year. Nothing gets you in the holiday
spirit like snow on Main Street, free hot chocolate, and the best cookies this
side of Grandma’s house! Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party started in 1983
and has been going strong ever since. This
is a wonderful event filled with special parades, castle shows, and
treats. For some, the best part of the
party is the chance to meet some of their favorite characters.
Go Early! The party begins at 7PM. This means that they
will begin to usher regular park guests out at this time. You can, however, enter the park at 4PM and get
a fast pass for a few rides before you start the party festivities. This is a good way to get some rides out of
the way in order to save the party time for seeing the shows and meeting the unique
characters that make the party so special.
Get in line to see the Seven Dwarfs! Most suggest going to see the characters that are not
available throughout the year. One of
the longest lines is the line to see the Seven Dwarfs. They are located on the wall in
Fantasyland. Try to get in line by
6:30PM as their line never slows the entire night. The only time you can you see all Seven
Dwarfs together is at a special event in the Magic Kingdom. They have on their Christmas scarfs and it makes
for a wonderful Christmas card photo.
Take a Selfie with Dopey! After
taking your family photo, the Dopey selfie is a must.
Head back to Storybook Circus! No
character meet and greet is as fun as a meet and greet with Jack Skellington as
“Sandy Claws”. Located in Storybook
Circus, he will come to get you in line with a high step that makes the
children laugh with glee. Just like the
Seven Dwarfs, you can only meet the much loved Jack Skellington, from The Nightmare
Before Christmas, at a special event. He will take multiple pictures so your family
can get a one-at-a-time picture with the hilarious Jack.
Scrooge McDuck makes an appearance! Staying in Storybook Circus, you can meet Scrooge McDuck
with Daisy and Donald Duck in their Christmas outfits. Scrooge McDuck is a
holiday favorite and the line isn’t too long to meet him. Just don’t give Scrooge a dollar…you will
never get it back. After meeting Scrooge
McDuck the line will lead to straight to Minnie Mouse in her best holiday
dress.
On the way out, make sure to tell Santa your Christmas
wishes! Santa is located outside of Guest Relations on Main Street right
next to the restrooms. It is a wonderful
end to a magical night.
Mickey’s Very Merry
Christmas Party takes place from 7PM until Midnight, November 8,
10,12,13,15,17,19,20,29, December 1,3,4,6,8,10,11,13,15,17, 18, 2015.
