Spotlight on Disney’s Yacht Club
Please welcome back Christine Battista. She wrote a quick overview on the Disney Yacht Club hotel for us!
nautical-themed property that is upscale enough to please adults while still being very kid friendly! A moderate size resort with a little more than 600 rooms allows for fantastic customer service.
The resort features top notch dining in its award winning Steak
restaurant, the Yachtsman Steakhouse. The Yachtsman Steakhouse
features amazing steaks and seafood and kids are more than welcome.
Stormalong Bay, a 3-acre water bay, allows guests to board a boat to Epcot or Disney's Hollywood Studios, embark on a Pirate adventure cruise, or rent water vehicles for your enjoyment. Also, enjoy a guided fishing excursion or private viewing of Epcot's nightly Illuminations.
The pool is a fantastic one-of-a-kind pool where you can slowly enter in the gently sloping beach entry. Sand covers the entire bottom of the pool to enhance your experience. The coolest shipwreck lands on the beach where kids can enjoy the tallest water slide in all of the resorts. Adults and teens alike can relax in the currents of the lazy river that circles the pool.
Not only is it the quietest resort I have stayed at on
property, the newly renovated rooms are incredible. The ship’s wheel on the
headboards and anchors throughout your room add to the nautical theme. All
rooms have 2 queen beds or 1 king sized bed, and some have a very comfy day
bed. Each room also includes a mini refrigerator, coffeemaker, TV, and safe.
These rooms feel very large and can fit 5 adults and a crib.
Things that I liked the best:
*Sand on the bottom of the pool
*Short walk to Epcot
*Short walk to Disney’s Boardwalk
*Boat ride to Hollywood Studios
*Sandcastle Club for kids ages 3-12
